Families of Blount County homicide victims search for closure

The families of 18-year-old Christian Boyle, Adbertha Chavez and Ricardo Gonzales are still searching for closure as law enforcement continues to investigate their homicides.

Boyle was last seen on Dec. 12, but his body was found on Christmas Day. Investigators said that they are talking to persons of interest, and forensics continues to process the evidence. Wednesday night, family and friends gathered at Boyle's home for a candlelight vigil. Boyle's family said they have been very appreciative of the outpouring of support from the community, and they are hoping that the person or persons responsible will come forward.

Noe Chavez, the nephew of Adbertha Chavez and Ricardo Gonzales said that the past couple of days have been very difficult since his aunt and uncle went missing. Family and friends have held two searches for the couple, but they have not been found. The couple's 17-year-old son has been charged with capital murder and robbery in connection to their disappearance.

"What's kept us going has been having faith that God holds the answers to all this, and even though we may not understand what's going on or why this is happening to us, we know that he has a purpose for this, and that everything will be revealed in his timing," Chavez said.

Investigators and family urge the public to contact law enforcement with any information on these cases no matter how big or small it may be.
