Firefighters extinguish barn fire off Dolly Ridge Road in Vestavia Hills

Firefighers in Vestavia Hills made quick work of a structure fire Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire around 3 p.m. in the 2500 block of Dolly Ridge Road. Upon arriving, they discovered a barn on fire. Within minutes, crews knocked down the flames.

No one was inside the structure when the fire started. No injuries were reported.
