Update: Suspect in St. Clair County double homicide now facing capital murder charges

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office reports the charges against Kevin McCrory will be upgraded to two counts of capital murder. McCrory is set to go before a judge later today. He is being held under no bond.


Authorities have released the names of the two victims in a double homicide in St. Clair County.

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office said the bodies of Hope Trapp, 20, and Logan Lambert, 20 were found at the walking track in Cook Springs in the 8600 block of U.S. Hwy 78. Both victims are from Cedar Lane in Pell City.

Authorities said they were shot during an altercation. 41 year old Kevin Wayne McCrory of Pine Ridge Road in Pell City has been charged with two counts of capital murder in the investigation.

He is currently in the St. Clair County Jail with no bond.
