WINSTON COUNTY, Ala. — A man and woman were killed Friday afternoon when their vehicles collided head-on on a state highway in Winston County, Alabama State Troopers said.

Kathryn Mcnutt, 54, and James Harold Hood, 76, both of Haleyville, died in The crash occurred around 3:45 p.m. on Alabama Highway 243 and claimed the lives of two Haleyville residents -- 54-year-old Kathryn McNutt and 76-year-old James Harold Hood. Troopers said both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
