Two charged after 17-year-old fatally shot in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —Two men were arrested in connection to the deadly shooting of a 17-year-old in Birmingham Thursday night.

The Birmingham Police Department said 21-year-old Edjuan Figguers and 22-year-old Deleon Hawkins are charged with capital murder.

The police department said Lorenzo Davis Jr. was fatally shot in the 2900 block of 29th Avenue North.

The Jefferson County Coroner says Davis was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:50 p.m.

Both suspects are currently in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail and are being held without bond.
