Man's body found in Brighton roadway

A man's body was found in the road in Brighton Sunday morning.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the 1000 block of 5th Avenue to investigate a man laying the roadway just before 11 a.m.

The Brighton Fire Department was also called to the scene and attempted to revive the man, but they were not able to save him.

Investigators say it appears the man was dumped from a vehicle, and the cause of death has not yet been determined.
