Missing Bibb County 13-year-old located by dog tracking team, drone

    The missing child alert has been canceled, as 13-year-old Samuel Haiden Simmons was found safe, according to ALEA authorities.

    Bibb County authorities were able to find him using a dog tracking team as well as the McCalla Fire Department's drone. Sheriff Wade says the boy "is in good health."


    ALEA has issued an emergency missing child alert for 13-year-old Samuel Haiden Simmons.

    Simmons is described as 4'11" and weighs 90 pounds with red hair and brown eyes.

    The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says Simmons was last seen near 348 Vernon Town Road in West Blocton Thursday around 8:30 p.m. He was wearing a camo t-shirt, blue jeans, cowboy boots and a hat. The sheriff says a chopper and ground resources are actively trying to locate him.
