Reward increased for missing Birmingham teen believed to be in danger

A Birmingham teen disappeared the day after an eye surgery on February 8th, Birmingham Police confirm.

17-year-old Daniel Rickett was supposed to be on a list of medications when he went missing. He is believed to be in danger.

According to his mother, Rickett's disappearance is "not like him."

Rickett is 5'6, weighing about 135 pounds.

A $3,000 reward, which has been increased from $2,500, is being offered to anyone with information on Rickett's whereabouts. Those with information are asked to contact the Birmingham Police Department Family Services at (205) 297-8413 or (205) 328-9311.
