SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. -- A Shelby County grand jury indicted a mother for reckless murder for her daugther’s death after a collision with a train.
Amy Reeves Silver’s four-year-old daughter died in the July 30th collision with a train on Fulton Springs Road in Alabaster.
The grand jury indicted Silver on charges of possession of marijuana, being under the influence, failure to stop at a railroad crossing in addition to the reckless murder charge for the death of Sharon Smith.
Silver, who is from Oneonta, remains free on bond. She is scheduled for an arraignment hearing April 1st.
