Three injured in crash near Dunnavant Valley Road in Shelby County

SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) — Three people were seriously injured in a head-on crash Tuesday afternoon in Shelby County near the intersection of Dunnavant Valley Road and Hugh Daniel Drive, according to the Hoover Fire Department.

The crash happened around 1:45 p.m. and involved a Shelby County Highway Department vehicle and an RV.

The fire department said the a man who was inside the county vehicle was airlifted to a hospital for treatment and is in critical condition.

Two passengers who were inside the RV were also taken to the hospital for treatment and are reportedly in serious condition.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Hoover Police Department, and Hoover Fire Department all worked the incident.

No additional information was immediately released by authorities.
