Fire fighters tell ABC 33/340 that a body was found in the building, but the death is not believed to be related to the fire.

Update:
Around 90 people are now staying the night at Highlands United Methodist Church. Cots have been set up in the Fellowship Hall. Red Cross volunteers will meet with everyone affected over the next couple of days. Fire investigators are expected to return to the scene Tuesday morning. Still no word on a cause or the extent of the damage. We'll continue to follow this story.

Update:
The fire is believed to have started on the 2nd floor, just before 3pm Monday. There were no injuries due to burns, but there were a couple of people suffering from smoke inhalation.

Fire fighters have been focused on ensuring everyone is out of the building.

Approximately 80 people and 20 pets have been moved to Highlands United Methodist Church, which is across the street from the Birmingham trade towers.

Several fire are rescue units are being called to Birmingham Trade Towers in downtown Birmingham.
