One killed, one injured in Jefferson county crash

One person is dead and another is hurt after a single-vehicle crash in western Jefferson county.

The crash happened at approximately 9:45 P.M. on Sunday, January 30, 2022 in the 1700 block of Alliance Road.

The 47-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver, 57-year-old Jeffrey Lynn Corbin, died at the scene.

Authorities believe Corbin had a medical issue before the truck ran off of the road and hit a group of trees.
