Possibly intoxicated man dies after crashing in Wilcox County
SNOW HILL, Ala. —
Alabama State Troopers are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred around 5:25 p.m. Saturday afternoon, which claimed the life of a man from Pine Apple.
Senior Trooper Reginal King said Wilson Ross Jr., 61, was killed when the 1999 Dodge Durango he was driving left the roadway and struck several trees.
Trooper King said Ross, who was not using a seat belt, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama 21 near the 83 mile marker, approximately two miles south of Snow Hill.
Although circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, troopers say alcohol is believed to be a factor.
Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
