Teen shooting victim identified

The 14-year-old who was fatally shot outside a Tarrant gas station has been identified.

The Jefferson County coroner says Daijon Wynn died in Friday’s showing at the Exxon at 1135 Pinson Valley Parkway.

He was a passenger in the front seat of a car when a gun in the car discharged in the vehicle.

Tarrant police are talking with witnesses and the other occupants of the car.

No charges have been filed at this point.

UPDATE:
The Tarrant Police Department says this appears to be an accidental shooting involving two juveniles. The other juvenile stayed on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
