Threat at Oak Mountain Middle School results in arrest
SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. —
A student is in police custody after a verbal threat was made at Oak Mountain Middle School, according to authorities.
Shelby County authorities say the student directed a threat involving a gun at another student on November 1. Officials say the threat did not pose any immediate physical threat to students, but was serious and disrupted school activities.
Following an investigation the juvenile was placed under arrest and charged with making a terrorist threat.
The juvenile was taken to Shelby County Juvenile Detention Center.
