Three teens in custody after maintenance worker robbed in Center Point
Three teenagers were taken into custody Thursday afternoon after a maintenance worker was robbed at gunpoint.
Deputies were called to a home in the 400 block of 15th Terrace NW just before 1:00 p.m. Thursday. A male victim was working at the house when he was approached by 3 teenagers. One of the teens pointed a gun at the man and demanded his money. They went through the man's truck before leaving on foot.
After a description of the suspects was given to other deputies, they were located near 13th Terrace NW and 2nd Street NW. One of the suspects was found to have the stolen money and a handgun. They were then positively identified as the teens who had committed the robbery.
The suspects were identified as being two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old all from Center Point.
The two 15-year-olds were taken to Juvenile Detention pending formal charges of Robbery 1st Degree and Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle.
The 16-year-old was taken to the Jefferson County Jail to await formal charges of Robbery 1st Degree and Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle.
The names of the teens are withheld pending formal charges.
