Tuscaloosa hammer attack suspect accused of robbing two other people with screwdriver

Stoney Sharp reports.

ABC 33/40 News is learning more about the victim and suspect in the Tuscaloosa hammer attack robbery.

Family members have released a picture of the victim, 53-year-old Tammy Hagood.

According to Hagood's brother-in-law, Hagood underwent reconstructive surgery on her eye. She'll have to undergo several operations to reconstruct the bone around her eye socket.

Meanwhile, court documents reveal the suspect is accused of robbing two other people at gas stations days prior to Hagood being attacked outside Winn-Dixie.

Police believe Reginald Aaron threatened those victims with a screwdriver.

Hagood's coworkers at Tidmore Veterinary Hospital are collecting donations for Hagood's medical bills. They describe her as a mother figure.

"She handles everything that comes in. She's just upbeat all the time. She doesn't let too much stress get to her. She handles it all," said Tidmore Veterinary Hospital worker Bryant Abston.

Aaron has been charged with robbing the gas station customers.

No charges have been filed in the Winn-Dixie attack. Investigators are waiting to learn more about the victim's injuries.
