Tuscaloosa woman charged in early morning assault
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. —
A 47-year-old woman is facing charges of assault and burglary following an early morning altercation Monday
Tuscaloosa Police say Carolyn Jean Wells went into the victim's apartment on 10th Avenue around and assaulted her. Police say the victim and Wells had an on-going dispute.
During the assault, police say Wells used an unknown object to cause a significant laceration to the victim's neck. The victim was transported to DCH where she remains in stable condition.
Wells is in custody and charged with first degree assault and first degree burglary. She is being held at the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $90,000 bond.
