Unborn baby dead after pregnant woman shot in stomach

PLEASANT GROVE, Ala. — An unborn child died after a pregnant woman was shot in her stomach in Pleasant Grove Tuesday afternoon, authorities confirm.

Pleasant Grove Police officers tell ABC 33/40's Andrew Donley the shooting stemmed from an argument between two women in the parking lot of a Dollar General. The victim was in a vehicle when she was shot.

The suspect, Ebony Jemison, is in custody, police officers say. She has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

The victim is expected to survive according to police.
