Antwone Wilson, escaped inmate from St. County Correctional Facility captured

Ronald Odell King, one of two St. Clair County inmate escapees, was captured Tuesday afternoon was 4 p.m.

Update: 8:00 a.m.: The Alabama Department of Corrections tells ABC 33/40 that an inmate who escaped from the St. Clair Correctional Facility in Springville on Monday has been recaptured.

Antwone Wilson, 27, was apprehended by U.S. Marshals and Brevard County deputies around 1 a.m. Saturday morning. Wilson was discovered inside a hotel located in Titusville, Florida, where he was taken into custody without incident. Wilson was transported to the Brevard County Jail where he awaits extradition back to Alabama.

Wilson was sentenced to life-without-parole sentence for first-degree robbery in Jefferson County. Ronald Odell King, who escaped with Wilson, was captured December 5th, 2017, in Jefferson County, Alabama. King, was sentenced to 50 years for First Degree Burglary.

Department of Corrections officials say, Wilson and King will be charged with felony escape and other offenses.

Original: According to Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC), authorities have located one of two escaped St. Clair County inmates.

After following up on a trip, ADOC agents located Ronald Odell King, 27, who was taken into custody at around 4 p.m. at a Birmingham address.

King and Antwone Wilson escaped from the St. Clair Correctional Facility in Springville Monday morning.

King was convicted of rape, sodomy, and sexual torture, and Wilson was convicted of 1st degree robbery.

Authorities continue the search for Wilson.
