Woman charged with attempted murder after 2 women struck in McDonald's parking lot

A Birmingham woman is facing two counts of attempted murder after two women were struck by a car in the Dennis Avenue McDonald's parking lot.

Police say the two women were intentionally hit by the suspect's vehicle around 2:15 p.m Wednesday.

Birmingham Police obtained warrants for 23-year-old Cortensia Hall and took her into custody Friday. She is awaiting transfer to the Jefferson County Jail where she will be held on $40,000 bond.

One of the victims is being treated for life-threatening injuries at UAB Hospital.

Police continue to investigate the case and anyone with additional information is asked to contact Birmingham Police at 254-1764.
