A 50-year-old Cropwell woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Cheaha Road, about 10 miles north of Talladega, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

ALEA officials said Jodie Polarie was fatally injured around 3:25 a.m. when the 2005 Chevy Trailblazer she was driving left the road, struck several trees, and caught fire.

ALEA officials said Polarie was pronounced dead at the scene.
