Woman with Asperger Syndrome missing, may be en route to Montgomery
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —
Birmingham Police have asked for the public's assistance in locating a missing 22-year-old woman with Asperger Syndrome.
Whitney McDurmin, of Birmingham, was released from Grandview Medical Center on Thursday and was placed in a group home in the city. When her mother visited the group home on Sunday she learned Whitney had not returned from a trip to the store. Whitney may be trying to travel to Montgomery, Birmingham Police officers believe.
Though Whitney is verbal, her mother says she is unable to make rational decisions.
Anyone with information on Whitney's location is urged to call 911 or contact Birmingham Police at (205) 297-8418. Other relevant information may be directed to Crime Stoppers at (205) 254-7777.
