SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) — A Birmingham man was arrested Friday on multiple charges of being in possession of obscene matter depicting children in Shelby County.
The Shelby County Sheriff's Office said a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force led to a joint investigation with the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
The investigation led to the arrest of 76-year-old Stanley Andrews. He was charged with 10 counts of “Possession of obscene matter containing visual depiction of persons under 17 years of age involved in obscene acts.”

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office said investigators have no information that suggests the images were produced in or near Shelby County.
Andrews is currently being held in the Shelby County Jail on $3,405,000 bond.
