Three JSU player invited to NFL Combine
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. —
Jacksonville State's Siran Neal, Darius Jackson and Roc Thomas received invitations to be part of the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine in 2018.
It's the biggest number of any program in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Neal is the only FCS safety invited to workout and meet with teams at the Combine. He took part in last month's Reese's Senior Bowl, becoming the first Gamecocks player to play in the senior-showcase event since 1994.
Jackson is one of three FCS linebackers to get a Combine invitation. The former McAdory Yellow Jacket won the Buck Buchanon Award in 2017, which honors the FCS National Defensive Player of the Year. Jackson was a part of the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl all-star game last month.
Thomas will be one of two FCS running backs at the NFL Combine. The former Oxford Yellow Jacket ran for 1,065 yards and led the OVC with 13 rushing touchdowns last season.
There are 326 players invited to this year's NFL Scouting Combine, which will be held in Indianapolis February 27-March 5.
