Spring Garden girls return to Class 1A title game

Spring Garden has a chance to capture the school's sixth state title on Thursday (

Spring Garden has a spot in the Class 1A girls' championship game for the third consecutive year.

The Panthers beat Loachapoka, 40-28 on Monday at the AHSAA state championships. Senior Tiyonna Rogers finished with 17 points and 20 rebounds. Macy Reedy (11 points) also scored in double figures and Payton McGinnis had a big game for Spring Garden, scoring eight points and grabbing eight rebounds.

Spring Garden will play Phillips in the Class 1A Girls State Championship Game, scheduled for Thursday at 4 p.m. at the BJCC Legacy Arena. The Panthers won a state title in 2016 and lost in the final seconds of last years championship game.
