2-time major champ Lydia Ko gets sneak peak at Shoal Creek

Shoal Creek is hosting the 2018 U.S. Women's Open and a couple of the top golfer's on tour were in Birmingham for a practice round.

2010 U.S. Open champion Paula Creamer and Lydia Ko, who is a two-time major champion, played Shoal Creek on Monday. Ko won the 2015 Evian Championship and the ANA Inspiration Championship in 2016. She was excited to see what challenges the course has for her and the other competitors.

"It's definitely nice to be able to see the golf course before the actual tournament week and see what type of golf course it is," Ko said. "Already just by being here at the practice facility it seems like it's gonna be very beautiful."

Ko finished tied for 3rd the 2016 women's open championship.

The 73rd U.S. Women's Open at Shoal Creek runs May 28th through June 3rd.
