    Prospective Intern:

    Thank you to everyone who applied to participate in our 2019 Summer Internship Program. The application process is now closed. Those accepted into the program will be notified soon. The 2019 Fall internship application process will open by the end of May.

    As an intern, you will be required to work a minimum or 16 hours per week and will be given a schedule of work assignments. Typically, you will rotate jobs each day so you are able to get an understanding of every role in the newsroom. You will work on the assignment desk, work out in the field with reporters and photographers, edit pieces, and assist in producing newscasts. You may work more hours if your schedule permits.

    The following requirements must be met in order to join the ABC 33/40 internship program.

    - The program must be coordinated with a college or university where the student would receive academic credit for his or her work at our station. The station will submit a report of the student's performance to his/her faculty adviser or department head which may be used in determining the amount of academic credit the student shall receive.

    - Student must have successfully completed certain classroom courses applicable to their major or area of concentration prescribed by his or her faculty adviser or department head and be at least a junior in good standing.

    - Student agrees that he/she shall not be entitled to wages or salary during the period of training with this station. Student understands that he/she has not been promised employment after the completion of this internship.
