Amber Grigley joined ABC 33/40 News in February 2017. She is thrilled to call the Magic City her new home.
Amber is a native of the metro Atlanta area. She graduated cum laude from the illustrious university by the sea, Savannah State University, with a degree in Mass Communication.
Before joining ABC 33/40 News, Amber served as a Multimedia Journalist at WFXG FOX 54 in Augusta, GA. While at WFXG, Amber covered education and breaking news for their nightly newscast. She was also the face of the station’s weekly segment, High 5 4 Kids, recognizing children making a positive impact in the Augusta/Aiken community.
Before stepping into news, Amber started her broadcast career in radio interning for WVEE, V-103 in Atlanta, Ga. for the Ryan Cameron Show with Elle Duncan. Prior to WFXG, Amber got her start in broadcast news at WXIA 11 Alive News in Atlanta, GA. as a news intern. After 11 Alive, she worked as a news intern at WTOC, The Southeast News Leader in Savannah, Ga. Amber covered many stories during her time at WTOC, including Savannah’s biggest event, St. Patricks’ Day weekend.
Amber is very active in community outreach. She is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalist (NABJ), Investigative Reporters and Editors Association (IRE) and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
